During the pandemic DeeperThanBlue and BigCommerce had collaborated, to offer a number of packages, to assist businesses in surviving the challenges brought about by national lockdown restrictions, to facilitate easier online selling.

Omar approached DeeperThanBlue during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic in April 2020; as he had designed his initial website himself using Wix, Omar acknowledged he required an established eCommerce SaaS based platform, coupled with an agency that could consult and deliver a successful direct to consumer eCommerce model.

One of these packages was a perfect fit for Omar’s vision so he made the wise decision to partner with DeeperThanBlue and BigCommerce. Omar commented “We sincerely appreciate the efforts and enthusiasm from brief to completion of the DeeperThanBlue team, especially core developer Sam who constructed the site to offer the customer experience we truly wanted, achieving this in a really quick time, ensuring we hit all our targeted milestones.”

Further words from Omar:

“I incorporated Faraday in 2018 after graduating from the University of Bradford in Mechanical Engineering. I found a gap in the market and figured energy drinks needn’t be fizzy, filled with artificial ingredients, high in sugar or in cans which I always found to be very impractical.

I was employed for several months after graduating and worked on Faraday during the evening and weekends. I invested all of my earnings into the business and have been full time since last year. After 2 years of rigorous R&D on the packaging through to the recipe, we successfully conducted our first production run on the 23rd of July with the finished recipe bottled and packed ready to make sale. Once we receive market validation from the first run, we will scale up and continue to drive our online presence.

As a sole founder of Faraday I have had to wear all the hats in the business from sales, marketing and legal to name a few so it has definitely been a challenge. We’ve successfully registered the UK/US trademarks for the Faraday brand, it’s received favourable reception from our audience, and we have global plans.

During the early stages of conceptualising a brand name, the Faraday name resonated with me as it paid homage to great minds such as Michael Faraday and that’s where our tagline “Inspired Fuel” stems from. “Enjoy your day with Faraday”, I could already visualise it!”

The Success


Everyone in the team at DeeperThanBlue wish Omar and the Faraday family all the success in the months to come.  It was great to work on such an exciting and innovative project, core to it, a product we believe to be a step in the right direction, for healthy, environmentally conscious energy drinks, whilst on the go!
