Howarth Timber & Building Supplies are associated with many of the UK’s top construction and home product manufacturers.
With a network of 33 timber and builders’ merchant branches spread across the country, Howarth required an eCommerce site that seamlessly deals with stock levels across multiple branches. This site needed access to an automatically adjustable database and back end that could deal with these demands allowing the website to maintain correct stock levels and alleviate the strain on the call centres.
Along with this complex stock task Howarth also wanted to modernise their existing functions and improve the user experience across the site. With this update to their website, Howarth wanted to increase traffic to the site and improve their sales and profit for the company.
The solution was built using BigCommerce on Google Cloud with integrations with Pimberly and Kerrifdge.

Their expansion into the business-to-business space required a streamlining of their digital operation better to serve both their B2C and B2B customers.
The platform was built using BigCommerce on Google Cloud and included integrations with Fully Charged’s ERP, Citrus Lime and other back-end systems, Springboot, HubSpot and Calendly.

Their online store has become an international destination, but perhaps an even bigger phenomenon is Andertons TV. With over 60% of most UK e-commerce traffic being on mobile, Andertons Music knew they had to up the beat with their digital transformation. The original site wasn’t optimised for consumer mobile devices and tablets. Working with DeeperThanBlue and their creative agency we designed a new user experience and new branding to engage consumers in the brand, help them find products easily on the small form factor and purchase quickly to ensure no loss in conversion. The solution was built on IBM’s WebSphere Commerce on Cloud offering and is run on the IBM Cloud (Softlayer) with DeeperThanBlue providing AMS support.

Consumers are offered credit options for payment and therefore the integration and credit scoring services required to provide an instant credit decision at checkout are key.
