Test Analyst

Job Specification

Location: At our offices in Sheffield or Manchester.

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 plus bonus plan subject to experience.

The role:

This is a hands-on testing role which covers planning and executing tests on our clients’ projects delivering world class software solutions to support their business. The main activities include:

Preparation & Execution of test plans, test scenarios, scripts and data requirements
Working as part of internal and external test team in accordance with the schedule and quality requirements
Liaise with developers, other departments and third parties to help resolve issues

You will be required to work closely with our clients and our internal delivery teams to ensure our solutions meet the business requirements and are delivered to DeeperThanBlue’s principles, standards and best practices.

The successful candidate will be an established Test Analyst looking for a move to work within a leading eCommerce implementation partner. The candidate will have strong analytical skills and an eye for detail. With experience testing complex technology estates, ideally in high growth software or e-commerce businesses.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

At least 2 years hands on experience in a test assurance role
Demonstrable experience of performing test assurance activities
Experience of working with test automation in an organisation
Estimation of project test effort
Have a deep understanding of the phases of the testing lifecycle and success criteria
Experience of writing and maintaining testing scripts

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS

Experience testing Mobile/Web
Experience in bug tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, etc.) and collaboration tools (Confluence, Slack, etc.)
Good understanding of multiple delivery methodologies including Waterfall, Agile and TDD
Experience working with teams using continuous integration, continuous deployment, with two to four-week iterations
Experience with automated testing
High level understanding of technology environments, networks, integration and software development
Analysis of functionality delivered vs. business requirement
Knowledge of quality management (internal, UAT, production)
Certification in ISEB or BCS/ISTQB
Working knowledge/exposure to XMLs, Java, JavaScript, PWA, REACT, Angular, JSON, PHP, SQL

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Experience with non-functional testing including Performance, Soak and Load
