WebSphere/HCL Commerce Support Developer / Technician

Role Responsibilities

  • Investigating and troubleshooting support requests after they have been through initial triage
  • Recommending the steps required to resolve problems.
  • Developing software fixes which may involve Java, JavaScript, SQL, REST and APIs
  • Communication with team members, other development teams and client personnel

Skills & Experience required

  • Demonstrable experience of developing or supporting WebSphere / HCL Commerce customer installations (this will be tested at interview)
  • Interacting and developing with SQL databases (e.g. IBM DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL)
  • Git in a team environment
  • Linux command line
  • Working experience of the Atlassian Tooling (JIRA, Confluence)

Additional/Desirable skills

  • Have good front-end development skills in HTML, CSS and JS frameworks (e.g. JQuery) and are familiar with Ajax)
  • Web-tier configuration experience (e.g. Apache, IIS)
