As Howarth’s product range, supplier network, and distribution channels evolved, the business needed faster, more flexible access to the data powering its BigCommerce eCommerce platform. Previously, making real-time updates to location, supplier, or branch and branch grouping information required raising support tickets with DeeperThanBlue—adding delays to time-sensitive changes.

The objective was clear: enable Howarth’s internal teams to manage and update critical business data independently, without compromising system integrity or requiring developer intervention.

This portal allows authorised staff to make real-time updates to the data that drives their eCommerce operations, while maintaining backend protection and system stability.

The portal currently supports updates to:

  • Branch details and distribution options
  • Branch clusters based on geography
  • Supplier lists and delivery preferences
  • Delivery zones and charges
  • Order threshold values
  • Triggering of single or bulk product updates from Howarth PIM

 

These updates are now made directly by Howarth staff, reducing reliance on external support and dramatically improving speed to market.
